1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and online services provided by Shine Precision Engineering Pte Ltd ("Shine," "we," "our," or "us") at https://www.shineprecision.com. By accessing or using our website, submitting a Request for Quote (RFQ), or uploading technical drawings, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.
2. Scope: Website Use vs. Commercial Manufacturing Contracts
These Terms govern your general use of this website, online quotation inquiry forms, and digital resources. Actual manufacturing orders, part production, delivery schedules, pricing, warranties, and quality inspection criteria are governed by separate written agreements, including formal Quotations, Purchase Orders (PO), Master Service Agreements (MSA), Quality Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) executed between you (or your company) and Shine.
In the event of any conflict between these website Terms and an executed commercial manufacturing agreement or Purchase Order, the terms of the specific commercial agreement shall prevail.
3. Customer Intellectual Property & CAD File Ownership
You retain 100% ownership of your intellectual property.
All 2D engineering drawings, 3D CAD files (STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, Parasolid, DXF, DWG), Bills of Materials (BOM), design specifications, and proprietary data uploaded, emailed, or transmitted to Shine remain the exclusive intellectual property of the customer.
Shine acquires no ownership, patent, copyright, or licensing rights in customer designs, except the limited right to use the technical files solely for evaluating manufacturability, preparing quotations, and manufacturing authorized production parts.
4. Design for Manufacturability (DFM) & Quotations
Any Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations, toolpath suggestions, or tolerance feedback provided through our website or sales engineers are for engineering consultation and cost-optimization purposes.
Online price indications and automated estimates are non-binding budgetary figures. Binding commercial prices and lead times are established only upon formal written quotation review and subsequent Purchase Order acceptance by Shine.
5. Shine Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including site architecture, text, images, graphics, logos, technical articles, and software, is the property of Shine Precision Engineering Pte Ltd or its licensors and is protected under Singapore and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute website content without our prior written consent.
6. Permitted Use & Security
You agree to use our website and RFQ submission portals for lawful commercial purposes only. You must not:
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or corrupted files that could damage our digital systems.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our internal networks, servers, or other customer accounts.
- Submit export-controlled data subject to restricted defense trade regulations without prior notification and secure handling authorization.
7. Disclaimer of Website Warranties
This website, its content, and digital tools are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we strive to maintain accurate technical data, we make no representations or warranties regarding the continuous availability or error-free operation of the website.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Shine Precision Engineering Pte Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to access the website.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by the courts of Singapore or, where agreed, by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
