End-to-End Manufacturing Workflow
Our end-to-end production workflow ensures strict process control, traceable quality, and on-time delivery from initial drawing review to global shipment:
- 1
RFQ
Send 2D drawings, 3D CAD, material, quantities. Mutual NDA first if required.
- 2
Quote & DFM
Itemised pricing with manufacturability feedback within 24–48 hours.
- 3
First article
Setup approved on Zeiss CMM; FAI report issued before production is released.
- 4
Production
Multi-axis milling, turning, managed finishing and cleanroom assembly as scoped.
- 5
Inspection & documents
Dimensional report, MTC and CoC with every lot; inspection plan per your spec.
- 6
Delivery
Scheduled releases by air or sea from Singapore under USSFTA and EUSFTA terms.
Volumes & Typical Lead Times
Production lead times depend on batch volume, tooling configuration, and inspection scope. Every project is quoted with a confirmed delivery schedule:
Prototypes & first articles
Fast-track evaluation parts with DFM feedback and CMM inspection. Expedite on request.
Low-volume production
Dedicated fixturing, First Article Inspection, full lot traceability.
Volume production
Dedicated fixturing and automated cells for recurring batches, SPC on control dimensions, then scheduled blanket releases.
Typical lead times from purchase order receipt and approved drawings; every project is quoted with a confirmed delivery schedule. Monthly capacity exceeds 10,000 machined parts across the 50+ machine fleet. Blanket orders can be released weekly or monthly to your production line; discuss delivery schedules with engineering.
Quality Documentation Delivered With Every Lot
Every production lot ships with complete inspection and traceability documentation to satisfy quality audits and supplier qualification files:
First Article Inspection (FAI)
Setup approval measured on Zeiss CMM before a production run is released.
Dimensional inspection report
100% or AQL sampling report against the drawing, per customer inspection plan.
Mill Test Certificate (MTC)
Raw material chemistry and mechanical properties, traceable to the lot.
Certificate of Conformance (CoC)
Issued with every shipment under the ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
Metrology equipment, calibration schedules, and complete inspection workflows are detailed under quality & compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum order quantity for CNC machining?
No. We quote single prototypes and first articles as readily as recurring production. Pricing reflects setup and inspection effort, so the unit price falls as quantity rises; we show this on the quote so you can choose the batch size that suits your program.
Which file formats do you accept for quoting?
3D CAD in STEP, IGES, Parasolid or SolidWorks, plus a 2D drawing in PDF, DWG or DXF carrying tolerances, datums, material and finish callouts. A 3D model alone can be quoted for budgetary purposes, but a toleranced drawing is needed for a firm price and inspection plan.
Can we sign an NDA before sending drawings?
Yes, and most OEM customers do. A mutual NDA is executed within 24 hours of request. CAD data is then handled on encrypted systems certified under Singapore's Cyber Essentials Mark, with access restricted to the engineers working on your parts.
Can our quality team audit the facility?
Yes. On-site and virtual supplier audits are welcome at the Jurong facility, covering the ISO 9001:2015 quality system, metrology and calibration records, cleanroom certification and material traceability. Many customers qualify Shine by audit where their program does not require a sector-specific certificate.
Do you handle prototypes as well as volume production?
Yes. Prototypes and first articles typically ship in 7–10 working days with CMM inspection and DFM feedback. Recurring production runs utilize dedicated fixturing and automated cells where applicable, released against scheduled blanket orders with monthly capacity exceeding 10,000 machined parts.
How are parts exported from Singapore?
By air freight from Changi or sea freight from PSA on your Incoterms of choice. Singapore's free trade agreements with the United States (USSFTA) and the European Union (EUSFTA) provide zero or preferential tariffs on qualifying machined parts, and we prepare the origin documentation.
